If you weren’t aware that the Oscars were on this week, you may have been hibernating. Did you get caught up in the buzz of the famous Oscars Red Carpet? I actually missed the live telecast since I happened to be at work during that time, and missed the replay late that night they showed it again in Australia, so I’ve yet to watch the show. But, I did get to see all the stunning outfits the celebs were strutting around in on the night, aswell as some of the hilarious and memorable highlights.
Here’s another snapshot of some of the “best dressed” celebs of the night, plus a couple of other highlights….
Jennifer Lawrence in her Christian Dior Couture – stunning colour, classy, simple yet elegant!
(poor girl took a fall again)
Lupita Nyong’o in her “Nairobi” blue Prada gown….this colour looks amazing on her skin tone!
I love the flowing skirt on this dress – very “Greek Godness” style dress… (her thank you speech was very touching too).
Chrissy Teigen working it in her Monique Lhuillier dress…loving the ball gown look, loose wavy hair and drop earrings. The pattern design on this dress also hides the fact that this dress has pockets..?
Amy Adams stepping out in her Gucci gown and wearing it very nicely. Just like Jennifer Lawrence, I like this simple yet elegant look.
Ms Angelina Jolie in her Elie Saab Haute Couture…I’m not sure if I’m a big fan of this dress personally but she always manages to look great anyway, and if I look that good when I get to her age with the amount of children she’s had, I’d be pretty happy 🙂
The beautiful Mrs Jada Pinkett-Smith in a stunning Versace dress…love this dress! I’m a big fan of halter-neck necklines and flowy skirts. I don’t think alot of people can pull off this colour but it suits her nicely!
Another favourite…Kate Hudson in a sexy little Versace number. She’s another celeb that I think can look good in almost anything…and she can make a very low plunging neckline still look very classy and elegant.
Ms Cate Blanchett in her Giorgio Armani nude-look gown…hmm, not really sure what I think about this dress but I still think she looks lovely!
Naomi Watts looking good in this Calvin Klein number….simple and sexy, and looking very comfortable too! I’m a big fan of comfort, not to mention – I love those shoes!
AND….who better to pick to host the night? None other than the hilarious and amazing Ellen De Generes who I find thoroughly entertaining. What do you think about her dress??? haha
and I’m sure you’ve all now seen this famous SELFIE shot that went viral faster than the plague…(trust Ellen to bring a little fun into such a formal occasion). Thanks for snapping and sharing the photo Bradley Cooper!
All in all, it looked like a fun evening celebrating all things film and entertainment. Big congrats to all the winners of the evening….and to all those who watched it, I hope you weren’t disappointed.
